Privacy Policy

Effective 23 September 2026. This policy describes how Stockly handles information when merchants install and use the Shopify app. The public policy is also published at stockly.srhwebagency.com/privacy.

1. Who is responsible

Stockly is operated for merchants who install the Shopify app. Shopify remains responsible for the merchant’s store, Admin, and Checkout. Merchants remain responsible for their own storefront privacy notices to shoppers.

2. Shopify permissions we request

After install, the app requests access scopes needed to run waitlists, PreOrder inventory behavior, and theme integration, including product and inventory related scopes configured in the app toml. Stockly does not request payment method data from shoppers.

3. Merchant data we store

All application data is scoped to the installing shop. We store:

  • Shop identity and OAuth session records.
  • App settings for Back in stock, PreOrder, Low stock, and plans.
  • Waitlist subscription records (email and/or phone as submitted on the storefront).
  • Optional support messages if you contact us.

4. Shopper (customer) data

Shoppers do not create a Stockly account. When they join a waitlist, they provide contact details you choose to collect (email and/or phone). You are responsible for lawful use of that data under applicable privacy laws and your storefront policies.

5. How we use this data

  • Provide waitlist, PreOrder, and Low stock features.
  • Show merchants their settings, reports, and plan status.
  • Respond to uninstall and mandatory compliance webhooks.
  • Deliver support when Contact / Support is used.

We do not sell personal data or use shopper waitlist data for third-party advertising networks.

6. GDPR and Shopify mandatory webhooks

Stockly implements Shopify’s mandatory compliance webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact) and app uninstall cleanup paths so shop-scoped data can be erased as required.

7. Data retention

While the app is installed, settings and waitlist data are kept so features work. After uninstall or shop redaction, shop-scoped data is deleted according to the app’s compliance handlers.

8. Contact

Privacy questions: use Support. Shoppers should contact the merchant first; merchants can use Shopify’s customer privacy tools which trigger the webhooks above.
